It’s finally here! Our latest collaboration with a brand we have been admiring for a while, The Anthology.
When we first met with the small team from The Anthology at Pitti Uomo back at the start of the year, we had a good feeling. Their ethos of preserving craftsmanship in menswear is something we very much champion here at Bowhill & Elliott, so we couldn’t wait to get started and collaborate. So what’s so great about this collaboration we hear you cry? Well we have designed your perfect summer shoe, if we do say so ourselves. Think of the Bowhill & Elliott for The Anthology street slipper® as your go-to loafer. Made by hand in our Norwich workshop, from the clicking to the lasting, everything is done with care and attention to detail.
Part of The Anthology’s Lost in Medina’ collection, choose from two new styles, the mocha deerskin leather or the tan suede. Hand-cut from a single piece of leather, the 1602 pattern has a shorter vamp and a soft contour of the tongue. It’s this elegant curve of the shoe which we believe works so well with a modern wardrobe. Yes we still love to wear our signature Albert velvet slippers to a drinks party or two, but day-to-day a more casual but still sophisticacted option is always on our mind.

We are in a time where tailoring is no longer confined to a stuffy office and boy are we happy. For us the combo of our handmade shoes and The Anthology ‘Lost in Medina’ collection is all we want to wear right now. From garden parties to pounding the pavements, the street slipper® is comfortable enough to wear all day. Here at Bowhill & Elliott we love to wear our slippers slash house shoes slash loafers in many different ways.
